12, 2004 that shows the dark hemisphere.
"I have finally made a good attempt at imaging the Venusian
night-side and the images look successful! A faint, round-shaped
feature is clearly detected on the night side. I have used the
14" SCT at prime focus with an IR 1000 filter at 1 micron light."
