C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) 2020-Jul-17 Chris Schur

The Comet now is well placed in the evening sky, some 25 degrees off the north west horizon at dark. Here we set up on a portable mount, at a remote location with a good horizon and used the Sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro lens for sharp images of the brightest portion of the comet. The tail visually was 15 degrees long and spectacular in binoculars. This is a total integration time of 11.25 minutes at ISO 400.

Lens: Sigma 150mm f/2.8 Macro
Platform: Meade LDX5
Camera: Canon XTI and Conon 10D
Exposure: 45s x 15 sec
