Comet ZTF-E3 in Ursa Minor
in the Morning sky
1/27/23
Now this comet is barely a naked eye object high in the north east, revealing a bit of tail and a cotton ball in the binoculars. Just past orbital plane crossing, the comet is very near (a few days) from closest approach to Earth. Here the comet exhibits a brilliant stellar nucleus, parabolic shaped coma, a fine anti tail dust fan, and finally a bluish ray type gas tail to the left. This is a 2 part panorama spaning about 4 degrees with the 10 inch at f/2.9
