C/2023 P1 (Nishimura) 2023-Sep-18 Mike Olason

Comet C/2023 P1 was magnitude 2.3 with a tail at PA 68 degrees from the coma. Due to the bright twilight all of the images were taken thru color filters. The gif animation shows interesting sky colors as the comet gets lower in altitude while the twilight sky dims allowing for longer exposures, no processing was done to the color images. Unfortunately, it was cloudy the evening before when the comet was at perihelion in its orbit.
